F.A.Q About Candle Luminaries:

1. Do you ship and what are the costs?

       A. Yes, we ship nationally and internationally. International clients will be billed country specific duty sales tax. Cost are determined by your order -  we calculate shipping by size of box and weight according to FedEx shipping rates.

2. How far in advance should I order if purchasing bulk?

       A. As far in advance as possible. All items are hand made to your specification, this is why we are able to offer such a large selection. Therefore, we ask all of our vendors to place their
order(s) as soon as possible. Typical orders take 5 days to make, shipping time is additional. Rush orders are available.

3. Will the product melt?

       A. Yes, if you leave it in the heat, throw it in a fire pit, hold it over an open flame, point a heat gun on it, or any other method to melt wax. Otherwise if used properly and as instructed, this product should last for many years. PLEASE NOTE: do NOT use tea-lights or any illumination source that can heat the bottom of the wax.

    4. How do you clean the exterior of the wax?

       A. We have found that goo-gone works the best.

5. How do you illuminate the wax?

       A. We use fuel cells, battery operated lights, or votive candles. In our opinion fuel cells work the best. Fuel cells are disposable oil lamps which typically burn up to 10 hours and do not leave a mess within the hollow candle. Fuel cells are also safer to use than a votive candle because once they burn down, the flame goes out on it's own. DO NOT USE TEA LIGHTS, or any source that has metal or similar composite, as it will melt the wax from within. LED Lights also work great to create a flameless candle look.

7. What colors glow the best ?

       A. White, Ivory and Ecru give the best, most natural glow.

Wax Composition

Hollow wax products are made of a paraffin wax with additional additives, giving the wax a strong bond. The hollow wax product has no fragrance additives and no wick.

You are not to light the hollow wax, instead you place a votive candle, fuel cell (oil lamp), or battery operated lamp within the hollow candle to achieve the amazing glow.

All of our luminaries are made with the cold pour technique which gives the luminary the textured look. A smooth finish without a texture can is available as a custom order.

Care and Use of Candle Luminaries

  • Do not place your candle luminary next to a window which has direct sun exposure. The heat from the sun over time will distort the wax.
  • To illuminate the candle luminary, place a votive, fuel cell, or LED light directly in the middle of the luminary. If using a votive candle or a pillar candle for larger luminaries, place 1/4" of water in the base. The water will help to keep the luminary cool and makes clean-up of excess wax from the pillar candle or votive much easier.
  • To use your luminary candle as a wax vase, place a floral liner inside the luminary first. This will prevent any water leakage and keeps the inside clean.
  • Do not leave the luminary outside in temperatures over 85 degrees or under 60 degrees, as heat will melt the wax over time and the cold weather will crack the wax over time.
  • All of our luminaries are made with the cold pour technique which gives the luminary a textured look.
